Do you dread the feeling when you open your closet in the morning? Does a little voice in your head echo that you are a bad person because your closet is a mess? I know that voice exists because I have heard it myself….

When you find yourself hesitating to put your hand on that door…is there a possibility that clutter has taken over your morning already?

  1. Take a moment to catch your breath before rushing to grab your clothes for the day. Pause and really look at the condition of your closet. This should be your sanctuary that holds your best possessions. You are in control with a bit of organization. Acknowledging that there is a problem is the first step…it does not mean you are a bad person…just a person who is busy and needs a bit of re-org.
  2. Tell that little voice how it makes you feel. Are you stressed, anxious, or frustrated by the stuff hanging in a mess like an old resale store? Take those feelings and decide to make a change. Set a specific date or day that you will start to organize your closet for real.
  3. Shut your eyes and see your organized closet: Imagine opening your closet to find neatly hung clothes, stacked shoes, and orderly shelves. Picture a space that brings you joy and sets a positive tone for your day
