Tip #1 — Have a yard sale. If you have a friend or neighbor who wants to join you then sit down together and make a plan. I suggest always having at least two people and more if you can. Inviting friends to join you is more fun and there is more stuff to tempt folks to drop by your sale.
I join efforts with my neighbor across the street and we get to visit while we sell. Usually we do a Friday and Saturday and put up signs in the area that point to our street and have a steady stream of buyers for most of the day.
We start the sale about 8 am and end about 4 in the afternoon. If you start later in our area, the pros that are some of the best buyers may have left the area by 9 or 10 am. Some folks buy from yard sales and resell as a hobby or business. I willingly give them a discount for bulk…
